A hotel built from the snow and ice of the Torne River, featuring art created by selected artists who travel here from across the globe.
The operation includes traditional hotel rooms and cabins, Icehotel 365 – a hotel by night and an art gallery by day – and from mid-December to mid-April, also our seasonal winter hotel built entirely from snow and ice.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being awake when others sleep. You are professional and personal in your interactions with guests and colleagues. You appreciate order and structure and see the value in working proactively. You have strong communication skills and always maintain dialogue with your colleagues for the best possible shift handover.
Your main responsibility is to take care of the hotel and our guests during the night. You ensure that our guests feel welcome, safe, and well looked after. To thrive in this role, you need to be independent, solution-oriented, and enjoy taking responsibility, as you will be the only staff member on duty for most of your shift.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Welcoming and assisting guests
- Guest check-in and check-out
- Handling phone calls and emails
- Cash register handling and reconciliations
- Computer-based administrative tasks
- Preparing for guest arrivals
- Keeping the lobby and reception tidy and inviting
- Handling sleeping bags, boots, and overalls
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent skills in both spoken and written English
- Good experience in front desk work, customer service, or sales
- A valid driver’s license (Category B)
Working hours: Part-time. You work 7 nights on and have 7 days off. Hours vary by season:
- April 13 – November 30: 22:00–07:00 (10pm-7am)
- December 1 – April 12: 21:00–07:00 (9pm-7am)
Type of employment: Possibility for either permanent or seasonal employment, but we expect you to work at least until April 30. Start date is flexible.
