Are you an experienced lawyer with a keen interest in politics?
The Tenants’ Association is now seeking a legal counsel specializing in rental law. As a legal counsel at the Tenants’ Association, you will combine qualified legal work with strategic and socially important issues.
The role of legal counsel includes the following responsibilities:
• Serve as the Tenants’ Association's expert in rental law
• Participate as a rental law expert in external investigations and write responses to government inquiries
• Manage contacts with authorities and academia
• Lead or assist in legal processes of a principled nature
• Participate in discussions with stakeholders in the housing rental market
• Coordinate the legal activities of the Tenants’ Association
• Contribute to national competence development in rental law
• Monitor and follow up on legal practices in rental law
• Engage with the media
The position is based at the headquarters in central Stockholm.
Your background
To thrive in this role, we believe you are both strategic and analytical, with a passion for problem-solving. You have a political interest, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically. You are comfortable managing various tasks simultaneously and have experience in different media contexts.
We are looking for someone who has:
Qualifications
• A law degree (Jur kand/juristexamen).
• Experience from the courts or equivalent professional experience in legal work.
• At least 5 years of experience working as a lawyer.
• Proficiency in the Office suite.
Meritorious
• Leadership training, project management training, experience in legal processes
• Experience working in non-profit organizations.
• Knowledge of rental law, legislative investigations
