The Quality and Patient Safety department is part of the Area of Patient Safety, Development, and Research in Healthcare. The department acts as experts and advisors on issues related to quality and patient safety with the aim of contributing to safe care. The department includes several different functions, including the medication unit, chief physician, and infection control, where we are now seeking a new team member. The infection control mission contributes to patient safety efforts by preventing healthcare-associated infections and limiting the spread of resistant bacteria and other pathogens within healthcare and social services. Within Infection Control, you will be part of a team consisting of infection control nurses and infection control physicians. We support hospitals, health centers, and municipalities. Infection Control operates across the county, which means travel within the region. The position is a permanent full-time employment with immediate start, as agreed. There is an option for a reduced working hours arrangement that can be combined with clinical duties. The work location is either Sollefteå or Örnsköldsvik. **Infection Control Nurse, Quality and Patient Safety, Sollefteå/Örnsköldsvik** **Job Responsibilities** The daily work as an infection control nurse is varied and largely dependent on current events. The responsibilities include: - Informing, educating, and advising on infection control issues to all staff categories within the region and municipalities - Developing infection control routines to support work in healthcare - Participating in investigations related to healthcare-associated infections and epidemiologically monitoring microorganisms of special infection control interest - Advising on planning for renovations and new constructions, procurement of medical technical products, as well as regarding disinfection and sterilization methods - Participating in development and quality work with other colleagues within Quality and Patient Safety. You will receive an introduction tailored to your skills and previous experiences.
