About this role
I am a woman over 40 who leads an active and independent life with a little help from my personal assistants – and my two loyal four-legged sidekicks (dogs, not a rock band tour).
Right now, I am looking for substitutes who can step in when someone from my regular team is sick, on vacation, or otherwise needs a break from our shared daily routine.
What does the job entail?
Well, you won’t need to make life-changing decisions or lead team meetings – I handle that myself. But you will be my physical extensions: legs, arms, and a bit of muscle power where my body says "no thanks." This means practical help at home, personal assistance, and sometimes accompanying me on work or travel. Think: cleaning, personal hygiene, cooking, dog walking, and all the things that keep daily life running smoothly.
Who you are:
I believe you are a flexible person – perhaps a student (hello distance learners!), a freelancer, part-time worker, or someone who enjoys piecing together their schedule with a bit of flair. You need to be able to step in at short notice when things get hectic in the team. Overnight shifts are a bonus if you can take them, but I can also divide shifts into day, evening, and night. When I ask – you tell me what works for you at that moment.
For this to work, you need to:
Be genuinely comfortable with dogs – not just having petted a golden retriever in the park. I need help with care and walks, so safety and experience are a must.
Be in good physical shape – you should be able to handle a physically active job without issues related to your back, neck, or shoulders.
Be a non-smoker – my home and my assistants must be smoke-free, even if the world around us is not.
Be empathetic – I communicate clearly, sometimes in writing and sometimes verbally, and you need to be able to absorb instructions without mixing in your own initiatives where they are not needed. Respect that I plan and manage my life myself – you are here to support, not to control. This is not a caregiving job. You are not taking care of me – you are helping me take care of my life. That is an important distinction.
Does this sound like something for you?
Write a few lines about yourself and why you think we could make a great team. I value personality over a perfect CV. I hope to hear from you soon – I (and the dogs) are waiting!
