About this role
I am a woman over 40, living with my two four-legged friends (dogs, that is – they are the bosses at home).
About you (and a bit about the job):
I am fully capable of making my own decisions, speaking, thinking, and planning my life – unless I specifically ask you for help. So, if you see personal assistance as something caregiving-related where you need to "take care of" me… then we might not be a match made in heaven.
I view this as a service profession. No fancy qualifications are required – what matters is that you are comfortable "sitting in the back seat," able to take it easy without being slow, and willing to learn. Of course, you will receive a proper introduction so that both you and I feel secure.
You will fit in perfectly if you:
- Have a driver's license and are used to driving (GPS-friendly, but not a GPS slave).
- Are confident, flexible, and have a good sense of personal boundaries. You understand when it’s time to step back and when it’s time to take charge.
- Are genuinely dog-savvy – for example, you can read dogs' body language, not just throw sticks for the neighbor's lab. You will help with both care and long walks. Do you have pets of your own? Then you need a network that can take care of them during your shifts – my animals get all the attention here.
- Are comfortable with all types of household tasks – from scrubbing floors to assisting me with more personal matters.
- Speak and understand fluent Swedish – both written and spoken. I communicate best this way.
- Are a non-smoker. Smokers need not apply (even though the world outside may not always be smoke-free).
- Have good physical health – your back, neck, knees, and shoulders should be able to handle long walks and some physical tasks.
- Are scent-discreet – I get migraines from strong perfumes, so please leave that vanilla splash at home.
And yes – there will be a bit of adventure! Travel may come up – including shorter outings, weekend trips, and sometimes longer journeys abroad.
Does this sound fun?
Then I want to know more about you! Write a personal letter telling me about yourself – preferably with a twinkle in your eye – based on what you've read here. I care more about who you are than what you have done before.
Working hours: The schedule runs on a four-week cycle, mostly consisting of day shifts – both weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Employment rate 75% + on-call. Start at the turn of the year, January 2026.
Ready to become an important part of my (and the dogs') life? We look forward to hearing from you – with wagging tails!
