About this role

Job Responsibilities The HR Department within the Support and Care Administration consists of five units with approximately 90 employees. The HR Support Unit is responsible for the business-close HR support to the administration's managers. The unit consists of a work group with strong cohesion and a mixed blend of junior and senior employees. As support for managers needs to increase, we are now looking to grow and seek a new colleague with somewhat more extensive experience in broad HR work. We do this to support our junior colleagues while maintaining our high-quality support for managers in the administration. Work is based on HR processes established for the City of Gothenburg. The work is independent and alternates between quick interventions and more long-term projects. One day may consist of mostly independent work, while the next may involve collaboration in a broader context. The size of the administration means numerous contact points, collaborations, and parallel tasks, requiring significant personal responsibility in daily work. The unit places great emphasis on a supportive and unpretentious climate where we care for and help each other. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to drive and develop the administration's HR work, both with your immediate colleagues and with other HR staff. An ongoing development process within the HR department focuses on further utilizing collaboration opportunities and sharing experiences as one large HR department. The unit has offices at Selma Lagerlöf Square and Mässans Street, but as the administration's operations exist throughout the city, some work will be performed at different locations as tasks require. We have a positive approach to combining work in the administration's premises and remote work based on given conditions. Working hours are during office hours Monday-Friday, with flexible working time applied. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a college degree in human resources management or another equivalent degree as assessed by the employer. The role requires experience working broadly across HR areas such as rehabilitation, labor law, work environment, management support, employee support, and union collaboration. At least 5 years of comprehensive HR experience, preferably with experience in public administration and/or the City of Gothenburg, is advantageous. As an employer representative, you must be comfortable in both informal and formal social interactions. You stand behind decisions and can communicate uncomfortable messages when necessary. The numerous contact points require an ability to work collaboratively to complete tasks and achieve goals. By showing interest and creating understanding, you will work towards a respectful work environment. To succeed in the role, you must also be able to act independently based on situational requirements without needing support from others. Your ability to make autonomous decisions within your mandate is therefore important. Additionally, you use time efficiently and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You ensure work is completed and follow up on results. Other Information In this recruitment, you will answer several questions describing your knowledge instead of submitting a personal letter. Attach study certificates or degree certificates for the requested education. The City of Gothenburg actively promotes equal rights and opportunities and works to counteract discrimination. As an employee in the Support and Care Administration, we offer: - Secure employment with good employment terms - Full-time with option for part-time - Onboarding for new employees - Competence development - Wellness allowance, bicycle allowance, and other discounts and offers We only accept applications through our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR. If you have protected personal information, do NOT apply through the system but contact the responsible recruiting manager to handle your application. Appointment is subject to the position not being required for the administration or the city's restructuring work. For staffing and recruitment companies: For this recruitment, we have chosen specific recruitment channels and do not wish to receive offers for competence mediation, advertising, or recruitment assistance. About Us We are all different. We are also all equal and have the same right to a safe home, meaningful occupation, and feeling valuable. With the right conditions, we can grow, develop, and participate in society on our own terms. The Support and Care Administration provides support, service, and care to children and adults with disabilities, creating opportunities for them to live a good and independent life like everyone else. By spreading knowledge and collaborating within the City of Gothenburg and with other actors, we increase understanding of individual needs and design interventions that make a real difference. With 6,200 committed employees, we are Sweden's largest support and care administration. We work in specially designed housing, daily activities, occupational activities, housing support, personal assistance, child and short-term housing, respite care, and support and guidance. Want to contribute to a more inclusive society? Welcome to us! You are Gothenburg.
