About this role
Hospitals in the West is a management organization within Västra Götaland Region, comprising four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide high-quality, safe specialist healthcare.
**Description**
Since January 2024, HR and communication have been a joint support function.
We have around 30 employees, with 17 focused on HR-related matters, across all four hospitals. We value a positive collaborative climate and offer a developing and independent work environment. We have fun together and support each other, with a focus on resolving our tasks and challenges competently and professionally.
As an HR Specialist within Hospitals in the West, you will be offered an exciting and qualified role. You will work across all HR areas, both operationally and strategically. You will closely collaborate with the business while being part of the HR team and its joint efforts.
We are now seeking a new HR colleague who, together with us, wants to continue driving and developing HR matters within Hospitals in the West.
**Responsibilities**
The responsibilities include a smaller operational area (where you work with rehabilitation, talent management, compensation, labor law, recruitment, and union collaboration, among others). Your role will involve specific development and strategic questions, where you, together with our HR strategists, drive and coordinate process matters for implementation across the organization. Your strategic areas will primarily focus on compensation and talent management. There may also be opportunities to conduct investigations, surveys, and develop digital tools. Based on your assignments, you may be involved in regional HR networks.
The work is independent, supporting the operational area and its managers, while also participating in the proactive work of the HR team and being a part of a strategic group that contributes to the development of strategic HR questions. With your broad experience and competence, you are expected to provide support to other HR team members.
**Qualifications**
- A university degree focusing on personnel and working life.
- At least 5 years of documented experience in independent, qualified, and comprehensive HR work.
- Strong proficiency in verbal and written communication is required.
- Experience in strategic HR work.
- As the role includes travel, possession of a driver’s license is essential.
To succeed in this role, you are expected to work both independently and as part of a team. You have a professional approach where you plan, create structure, are effective, and adhere to timelines in relation to tasks and assignments. You possess a coaching mindset and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues, managers, and other stakeholders. You build trust easily and are unpretentious. Additionally, you have good pedagogical and analytical skills and have a positive view of change work. You have experience in informing, educating, and presenting to larger groups. You easily take on new digital systems and can apply knowledge in daily practice.
**Additional Information**
We believe that diversity in the workforce is a crucial factor for achieving good operational results and enhancing the content and quality of the organization’s work. Therefore, diversity considerations are taken into account during recruitment.
