Are you interested in learning more? https://www.umu.se/jobba-hos-oss/om-universitetet-som-arbetsplats/ The Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics conducts research in computational mathematics, discrete mathematics, mathematical modeling and analysis, mathematical statistics, and mathematics for artificial intelligence. Our teaching is offered at all levels and includes mathematics, mathematical statistics, and computer science. Among our partners are international research groups, academic institutions, public organizations, and companies. The department is now seeking an HR Coordinator – an important and responsible role where you will work as an independent HR function within the department, supported by HR networks, faculty, and central HR units. You will also be part of the department's administrative team alongside study administrators, education coordinators, an economist, and administrators. Description The role involves tasks across the entire HR field, including both qualified HR issues and ongoing HR administration. As an HR Coordinator, you will work closely with the management team and hold a position within the management group. Responsibilities - Provide advice on HR issues regarding legislation, local and central agreements, as well as current policies and guidelines. - Responsible for coordinating, driving, and administering the department's recruitment, employment, and onboarding processes, as well as coordinating the hiring of international employees in accordance with applicable regulations. - Together with the chair, be responsible for coordinating, driving, and administering rehabilitation processes, as well as occupational health and equal opportunities work. - Support staffing planning and competency supply. - Develop and maintain routines within the department, both within the HR field and in other administrative areas. - Ongoing HR administration and handling of matters such as leave requests, vacation planning, and statistical data. Other administrative tasks may arise, such as meeting planning, preparation for staff conferences, administration of PhD candidates, space planning, and more. Qualifications To be considered for the HR Coordinator position, you must have: • A Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent, along with several years of experience in qualified, broad HR work, preferably in the public sector. • Documented experience in working with the entire recruitment process (including international recruitment) and rehabilitation. • Very good knowledge of labor law and workplace safety. • Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English. • Good computer skills, particularly in the Office suite, and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new administrative systems. • A well-developed ability to collaborate, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships. Desirable • Experience with the aforementioned administrative tasks is advantageous. • Experience with personnel administrative systems is preferred, especially with systems such as Primula, Varbi, and Adato. • Experience in HR work within universities or colleges in an international environment, as well as experience in management group work, is beneficial.
