Assistive Technology Technician - KommSyn Stockholm

Assistive Device Services are responsible for operating assistive device services for people with mobility impairments in the southern part of Stockholm County, as well as county-wide responsibility for people needing consumable home aids, medical technology equipment at home, and communication, cognitive, vision, and hearing aids. KommSyn's county-wide area of responsibility and product range covers communication, cognitive, vision, and hearing aids. In the southern part of Stockholm County, we are responsible for remote systems/environmental control and proximity alarms. Work Tasks: Within the assistive device areas of communication, cognition, computer control methods, and remote control/environmental control aids, you will among other things: - Perform repairs and reconditioning - Provide advice and support via telephone support - Perform mounting, installation, and adaptation of assistive devices - Contribute technical expertise during procurement when introducing new procurement assortments - Work together with other professionals such as occupational therapists and speech therapists, as well as perform work independently You are also expected to contribute to the development of the organization. Qualifications: We are seeking someone with strong IT skills as most of our aids consist of both hardware and software. You have relevant education, have worked with assistive devices, or have what we consider equivalent experience. Your Swedish language skills are excellent, both verbally and in writing.
