The APL Strängnäs facility specializes in the production of penicillins in various formulations such as tablets, mixtures, capsules, and dose bags. Currently, we have about 80 employees in Strängnäs, and we are in an expansion phase with new projects and interesting products. We are now seeking a driven and strategic Head of Supply Chain and Commercial Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for our supply chain and commercial development in Strängnäs. About the role: As Head of Supply Chain and Commercial Manager, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring an efficient and sustainable supply chain – from procurement to delivery. You will also lead the commercial efforts in Strängnäs with a focus on business development, customer relationships, and profitability. As a manager, you will have budget and personnel responsibility, support and follow up on your employees, and ensure their working environment while ensuring that you work together in alignment with the business plan and goal fulfillment. You will report to the site manager in Strängnäs and be part of the company’s management team. Your main responsibilities will include: • Overseeing the supply chain flow from order to delivery and invoicing, including planning, forecasting, order placement, material handling, and supplier management. • Developing and implementing strategies for supply chain and commercial growth. • Optimizing logistics, inventory management, and procurement processes. • Supporting the strategic buyer, and taking responsibility when necessary, in negotiating supplier contracts. • Ensuring high delivery precision and customer satisfaction. • Leading and developing teams within supply chain and commercial operations. • Managing budget, forecasts, and key performance indicators in the area. • Identifying new business opportunities and driving profitability improvements. • Leading and coordinating the RFI/RFQ process at the facility. • Being responsible for and continuously leading improvements with existing customers and contributing to an efficient commercial customer process. Qualifications: We are looking for an experienced leader with broad expertise in supply chain and/or commercial functions. You have a structured and results-oriented work style with the ability to combine operational responsibility with strategic development. We believe you have: • Documented experience in supply chain and/or commercial functions. • Experience in leadership positions and experience within the pharmaceutical industry. • Strong analytical skills and experience working data-driven. • A good understanding of business strategy, customer needs, and market dynamics. • Experience in change management and process development. • Relevant academic education in logistics, economics, engineering, or equivalent is advantageous. • Proficiency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
