About this role
Prima Vård is in a phase of growth and transformation and is now seeking an engaged and development-oriented Head of Group IT with strategic capabilities in IT/IS/AI, along with a tactical and operational understanding. The position is located at the headquarters of Prima Vård Group in central Malmö.
Initially, you will carry out an assessment and evaluation of the current strategy, solutions, organization, and partners in the IT/IS/AI domain on behalf of the Group Management. In the subsequent phase, you and your team will implement the new IT strategy and new ways of working. The aim is to create clear added value for patients/customers, employees, and other stakeholders.

About the Position

The group currently has 2-3 employees within IT. You will work closely with the CEO and COO and report to the Group Management.
You have a strategic perspective with a clear focus on business development and creating new value for our patients/customers and employees. At the same time, you enjoy working closely with operational activities.
Your Main Responsibilities
• IT Strategy and Vision: Define the group’s target architecture and roadmap; ensure that the plans of the business areas are aligned with the overall strategy.
• Organization, Change Management, and Governance: Lead overarching governance, set frameworks, and ensure that our solutions are secure, scalable, and cost-effective.
• IT Governance: Establish principles, policies, and minimum requirements and follow up on compliance.
• Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Integration, and System Environment: Own group-wide standards for identity and access management (IAM), networks & connections, data/integration patterns, and API principles.
• Information Security and Regulatory Compliance: Together with the business and legal function, ensure that solutions meet the requirements in the healthcare sector (e.g., PDL, GDPR, and NIS2).
• Supplier Management and Cost Control: Set guidelines for procurement and supplier management, establish framework agreements, KPIs, and follow-up processes.
• Risk, Continuity, and Incident Management: Ensure group-wide processes for risk management, BCM/DR, and incident response.
• Data, AI, and Future Opportunities: Strengthen the group’s data capability, improve the collection, structuring, and use of data across the organization. A central part of this is to connect the IT environment and build a joint data warehouse that aggregates data from regions, internal systems, and other relevant sources. The goal is to drive the group towards becoming more data-driven through modern data infrastructures and efficient, secure data management.
We operate in an organization with low margins where IT investments must be carefully evaluated, and cost control is a central part of the work. You are accustomed to working in environments where low operational costs are a success factor – to free up resources for core activities. For us, this means that every saved krona can be allocated to caring for our patients.
Some travel within Sweden is included in the position.
Who You Are
We believe you have some form of higher education (college/university or vocational training) in the IT field.
You likely have at least 5 years of relevant experience from similar areas of responsibility and tasks. You are probably currently working as an IT Manager, IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure Manager, IT Service Delivery Manager, or in another similar role.
We view it positively if you are now looking to take on increased responsibility and see this position as a natural step in your IT career.
You have the ability and interest to work strategically with a clear business and operational focus. At the same time, we want you to have an operational understanding of the IT field.
You have prior experience with budget management and cost control.
You possess solid client competence in relevant areas of responsibility. You also have good knowledge of the digitization of businesses. You see IT as an enabler for achieving more efficient operations and as a crucial prerequisite for creating satisfied customers and competitive advantages.
You have previous experience in managing IT operations, IT infrastructure, cloud services, digitization, and security systems. Furthermore, you have an interest in and experience with qualified project work within the IT field.
To succeed as Head of Group IT, you are proactive and have a knack for communicating, inspiring, enthusing, and building strong relationships both internally and externally. You have the ability to structure, plan, and develop operations and possess good leadership qualities. You present yourself professionally while demonstrating integrity and sound judgment.
