About VÄXT-huset
Do you want a meaningful job where you support people in finding their way to self-sufficiency, employment, and better mental health? We are now looking for another facilitator to join our team at VÄXT-huset in Skurup Municipality.
VÄXT-huset in Rydsgård, Skurup Municipality, is a place for adult citizens who need support to take the next step in life. We work with several target groups, including individuals receiving social assistance who struggle to enter or maintain their position in the labor market. We also work with individuals with experiences of substance abuse, social difficulties, or mental health issues who need our support to move forward.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a facilitator, you play a central role in supporting and guiding participants in their daily activities. You work closely with clients, helping each individual plan and carry out their employment. With us, participants have the opportunity for work training where they develop their skills through practical tasks, such as:
- Green space maintenance
- Moving assistance within the municipality's operations
- Furniture reuse
- Gardening and sewing
Your contribution is crucial to the participants' success. By mapping their abilities and working on motivation, you create the conditions for each individual to achieve their goals. You will be part of a dedicated team where collaboration, open dialogue, and support from various professionals in the social services are key to success.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- Have a post-secondary education relevant to the position
- Be handy, practically oriented, and in good physical shape
- Be self-assured and capable of leading and inspiring participants
- Have experience working with individuals with mental health issues, disabilities, and comorbidities
- Be a skilled communicator who is clear, straightforward, and responsive to changes
- Have knowledge of motivational interviewing and CBT (an advantage)
- Be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Hold a valid B driver's license, manual transmission, as you will be moving between different workplaces
