Jämtlands Gymnasieförbund is responsible for upper secondary schools, adapted upper secondary schools, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's eight schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread across six municipalities – Berg, Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.
Jämtlands Gymnasium Wargentin is northern Sweden's largest upper secondary school. **Description**
The Studio is part of Jämtlands Gymnasium Wargentin and serves as a resource team for students who need extra support in their studies.
Here, coaching, guidance, and a calm, safe, and tailored study environment are offered – with the goal of ensuring that every student has the right conditions to succeed.
We are now seeking an engaged mentor for the Studio for a part-time (50-75%) temporary position. The start date is as soon as possible, and the employment is valid until June 15, 2026.
**Your Future Responsibilities**
As a mentor in the Studio, you will support students who need help creating structure and sustainable routines in their learning. You will approach students with understanding and assist them in managing challenges that may affect their school situation – both socially and academically. Your work will also involve strengthening students' motivation and providing support in completing their studies.
A key part of the role is to coordinate communication between the student and other key individuals at the school – such as special educators, mentors, teaching staff, and student health services. Together, you will form a joint support team around the student, focusing on creating the right conditions for success in their program.
**Who Are You?**
We are looking for someone who easily builds good relationships and contributes to a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for students. You are patient, attentive, and have a solution-focused approach when interacting with young people who need support.
We prefer candidates with experience working with youth in school settings, particularly in contexts where extra adaptations or special support are required. Knowledge of various support measures – both educational and social – is an asset.
