Supervisor for Master's Project in Mathematics

Job Description The role involves providing academic supervision primarily for master's theses in mathematics and applied mathematics. This is a temporary position at 50% for up to six months. The position will be based at the Department of Mathematics. Qualifications Requirements - A completed degree at the advanced level (higher education) in the relevant subject area or equivalent competence. - Previous experience in writing scientific reports. - Excellent ability to read and comment on technical English, as this is required in daily work. - Awareness of diversity and equality issues, with a particular focus on gender equality. - Solid knowledge in mathematics and applied mathematics, from previous education and/or work experience. - Excellent ability to independently structure and carry out work. - Good collaboration skills. Meritorious - Previous experience in teaching and/or supervising students' project work, knowledge in mathematics, computational science, mathematical statistics, financial mathematics, optimization, and systems theory, as well as completed doctoral education, is meritorious.
