About this role

Do you want to combine technology, analysis, and societal benefit in a role that truly makes a difference? As a Management Systems Administrator at FMLOG Staff, you will help develop the future management environment for the Swedish Armed Forces' logistics. You will work in a context where civilian and military competencies collaborate to create modern, secure, and robust systems - a key to Sweden's defense capability in a changing world. About the Staff: FMLOG Staff supports the unit commander in managing and steering the Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) unit. As a Management Systems Administrator, you belong to the Technology and Business Support Department at FMLOG Staff. The department consists of four sections: Technology and Maintenance, Infrastructure, Operational Security, and the Materials Section. These sections lead and follow up the unit's technical service, material and supply issues, management system matters, infrastructure, operational security, and environmental and quality issues. Both military and civilian personnel work at the department. The role is positioned in the Technology and Maintenance section. Primary Work Tasks: The role involves participating in the development of management systems and IT environments that the unit needs to exercise command over its units, both in the current organization and in tomorrow's new organization. You will participate in both planning and implementation tasks within your own unit and contribute to creating available management systems and IT support. The position is part of the staff and is functionally managed by the FMLOG Management Systems Chief to coordinate the function's work. Therefore, it is important to be able to work broadly and independently with various types of tasks. You will, among other things: • Handle and prepare the unit's requirements for management support systems at all readiness levels, which involves dynamic work between planning and implementation in various time perspectives. • Provide expert competence and contribute to maintaining the unit's management capabilities. • Develop plans for follow-up, analysis, evaluation, and development within your functional area. • Assist with the unit's Material Distribution Order (MFO) processes regarding management system materials. • Participate in project and working groups. Qualifications: • Relevant post-secondary education in IT or other education/experience deemed equivalent by the employer. • At least 5 years of documented experience working with Management Support Systems and/or IT systems. • Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing. • Driver's license, at least category B (manual transmission). Meritorious: • Completed and approved military education. • Completed and documented service at a military unit. • Completed and approved education in the Management Support Systems area. • Experience working in government or other public sector. Personal Characteristics: You are self-driven and readily take initiative and responsibility in any given situation. You easily create and maintain contacts and use your network to achieve set goals. Your collaboration skills are excellent, and you act with both integrity and humility towards others' experiences and perspectives. You have a well-developed security awareness and combine good service-mindedness with pedagogical ability. You perform your work in a structured and thorough manner, with the ability to document and follow routines, as well as analyze problems and find solutions. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Other: • Employment Type: Permanent employment with a six-month probationary period. • Employment Scope: Full-time. • Work Location: Stockholm. • Civilian Position. • Commencement: As soon as possible by agreement. • The work involves travel, primarily within Sweden.
