About the Job
As an enforcement officer, you primarily work on determining appropriate measures to regulate debts. To prevent people from falling into severe debt, contact with customers, employers, and other authorities becomes a crucial part of your work. Your role is to be the neutral party that helps both the party who has not been paid and the party who needs to pay.
You investigate assets, make decisions about appropriate enforcement measures of varying scope and complexity. This involves analyzing and assessing different types of documentation. You request supplementary information via phone, email, and letter when contacting various parties. With support from laws and regulations, you assess the documentation and make decisions. The cases you handle require legal certainty, speed, and efficiency while maintaining quality.
You will undergo an internal six-month training program where practice alternates with theory, and you will be assigned a mentor to support you initially. The training includes topics such as law, customer interaction, and communication techniques. You will be part of a section that collectively takes responsibility for results, planning, and work distribution.
Everyone working at the Enforcement Agency contributes to combating crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing potential criminal attempts and notifying other authorities about suspected offenses. As an officer, you might, for example, alert other authorities about someone receiving benefits under false pretenses. This can result in helping stop incorrect welfare system payments.

Your Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 1 year of work experience in administrative or case management work within the last three years
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
It is desirable that you have current work experience in case management, investigation, or decision-making that impacts individuals and businesses.
It is also desirable to have previous work experience at the Enforcement Agency.

Good to Know
The position is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as an officer. The Enforcement Agency offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. The office is centrally located in Gävle, close to train and bus connections.
Working in the public sector means following the state's core values. Special requirements are placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We will ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal history and employment shortcomings. For final candidates, these questions will also be asked of references. We will also obtain information about debts registered with the Enforcement Agency, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. Revealed information will be weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment may involve placement in a security class. A security review with register check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may be conducted before a hiring decision. Some tasks in the security class require Swedish citizenship.
