About this role

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention centers, and client transportation. The Gävle operational area includes the closed prison Gävle, the open prison Gruvberget, and the detention center Bomhus. Our operations run around the clock, and the largest professional group is correctional officers, supported by over ten other positions to ensure our mission. In the Gävle and Gruvberget prisons, inmates are engaged in education, other structured activities, treatment programs, self-management, or work operations primarily consisting of carpentry production. Gävle prison and Bomhus detention center are easily accessible by public transport, while access to a car is required for Gruvberget prison. Staff parking is available. We are seeking an administrator who wants to be part of our team. We warmly welcome your application!
