About this role

Here's the professional English translation of the job description: The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency manages and coordinates work for a good living environment together with others. Here, you can contribute to the important work of reaching our vision – creating a good living environment for humans and all other living beings, now and for future generations! Do you want to make a real difference for the climate – while developing in your professional role? At the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, you'll have the opportunity to genuinely contribute to the green transition. Right now, we are seeking engaged case officers for our "Charge the Car" team within the Climate Leap initiative. Together, we work to expand charging infrastructure in Sweden and reduce the transport sector's climate impact. With us, you'll become part of a meaningful mission with significant societal benefit. The Climate Leap is the government's broadest investment support for reducing greenhouse gas emissions by supporting companies and other operations nationwide that want to transform and thereby contribute to Sweden's climate transition. The Climate Leap mission includes communicating the initiative, allocating funds for measures, and evaluating, tracking trends, and developing the initiative. The Climate Leap is distributed across four units focused on charging infrastructure, agriculture, and industry. These units consist of approximately 60 employees in total. Your Work Tasks You will work on the new Climate Leap unit for "Charge the Car" and be responsible for processing applications related to "Charge the Car". "Charge the Car" is a grant for installing electric vehicle charging stations intended for residents or employees. The grant can be applied for by housing associations, organizations, and companies. Case processing primarily involves reviewing applications and preparing financial support decisions. In many cases, multiple aspects must be considered in application processing, which can make the assessment complex. You'll need the ability to identify and handle various key issues and drive case preparation to completion by seeking support from colleagues. The application pressure for the Climate Leap has been high, making it possible to approve many applications with significant climate benefits. Work within the Climate Leap is broad, so in addition to application processing, other tasks within the Climate Leap may occur. Your Competence Employment Requirements • University degree in natural sciences, social sciences, or technical orientation • Relevant professional experience with investment support, grants, or projects in charging infrastructure or climate • Good Swedish and English skills, both verbal and written Meriting Factors • Experience with state aid rules • Knowledge of financial controls • Experience in business economics or other economic analyses and controls • Experience with the Ipax Case management system • Experience with government agency work Personal Characteristics The tasks require you to be meticulous, structured, and enjoy maintaining order. The work involves extensive contact with grant applicants and other authorities, so it's important that you have strong communication skills and can act professionally in accordance with the agency role. As a case officer, you should be able to understand companies' perspectives, be driven, and be a problem solver. We also seek someone flexible who can re-prioritize when conditions change. Work peaks can occur during certain periods, so experience working with clear deadlines is advantageous. We place significant emphasis on personal characteristics.
