At Sida, you will use your skills to make a difference for people. **About the Job** As a case officer in one of the CSO units, you will be part of a dynamic group of colleagues managing support for civil society organizations. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing applications, preparing decision-making documents, following up on projects, and engaging in dialogue with various stakeholders within the aid sector. The operations include support through both Swedish and international civil society organizations and direct support to civil society in developing countries. Through your work, you will contribute to promoting democracy, human rights, and human security, as well as strengthening the capacity and conditions of organizations. You will also participate in and contribute to the unit's learning and method development. You will work at our office in Rissne, Sundbyberg. **Responsibilities** - Manage initiatives including application assessment, follow-up on results reporting, and dialogue with partners. - Utilize and develop relevant methods and approaches for results management, capacity development, and aid effectiveness within civil society support. - Collaborate with other units and departments, foreign missions, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as with cooperation and dialogue partners such as other authorities, civil society organizations, and representatives from stakeholder groups like the business sector and academia. - Support a variety of tasks within the unit and department. **We Offer** We offer a workplace with good opportunities for development and an environment characterized by openness and diversity. To respond to the challenges the world faces today and in the future, we need people with diverse backgrounds and skills. **Qualifications** **Education** - Academic degree or equivalent academic education or other training deemed relevant by the employer. **Language** - Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. **Work Experience and Knowledge** - Documented experience in international development cooperation. - Documented experience in managing aid initiatives, including work with budgets and financial reporting. - Documented experience working with or for civil society organizations. **Functional Competencies/Abilities** For this role, you need to: - Be able to lead yourself and take responsibility for your own development. - Be good at collaborating and building trusting relationships. - Handle resistance, be flexible, and solution-oriented. - Have the ability to engage in dialogue and create consensus. - Contribute to and absorb knowledge and evidence. It is advantageous if you have: - Experience working in developing countries. - Experience in managing support to civil society in challenging contexts. - Experience with innovative initiatives in development cooperation. - Experience working on issues related to democracy, human rights, the rule of law, gender equality, free markets and property rights, accountability, tolerance, anti-corruption, and/or peace and security. - Language skills in French, Spanish, Arabic, or other languages relevant to Sida. **Important to Know** The position is a temporary appointment until further notice, but no later than August 15, 2026.
