Let your knowledge become a force for Östergötland. We are looking for an Experienced Crisis Preparedness and Civil Defense Officer with a focus on planning. You will belong to The Unit for Civil Preparedness and Rescue Services, which is one of the units in the Department for People and Society. The unit consists of fifteen employees who work together on operational and security protection, information security, signal protection, accident prevention, crisis preparedness, and civil defense. When you work with us, you are part of a team whose expertise is in demand both locally, regionally, and nationally. Your responsibilities Primarily involve assisting the Director of Defense and the Unit Manager in directing, coordinating, and following up on the authority's mission to carry out preparatory planning and establish plans for tasks as the geographically responsible area for the county. Coordination requires collaboration with relevant representatives within the authority, in the county, as well as at higher regional and national levels. It may also involve participating in efforts to identify needs for action within the county, planning and establishing plans for support to the military defense, prioritization of resources, host nation support to international civilian or military actors, or participating in various measures within supply preparedness. You will participate in the planning and execution of training and exercises both internally within the authority and externally with other actors. If necessary, you may also have the opportunity to participate to varying degrees in other assignments within the unit's area of operation. We expect you, depending on the situation in the external environment or changing conditions, to be prepared to handle other tasks. Mandatory requirements for the position: - You must have relevant academic education with a degree at least equivalent to a bachelor's level. - You must have several years of experience in qualified work within the field of crisis preparedness and civil defense or equivalent tasks. - You must have in-depth knowledge of the conditions for planning within crisis preparedness and civil defense. This can be through vocational courses, training, exercises, or work with preparedness planning. - You must have basic competence in Microsoft Office. Meritorious: - If you have training or have taken courses in the field of crisis preparedness and civil defense. - If you have several of these experiences within the public sector according to the requirement: You must have several years of experience in qualified work within the field of crisis preparedness and civil defense or equivalent tasks. - If you have other skills besides the points above, such as languages or specialist knowledge in a specific area, for example, IT systems. You set and adhere to deadlines. - You have a high ability to collaborate by working well with others. You relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner.
