Are you ready for a greater challenge? We are currently seeking a Planner/Administrator for the PO Norrbotten Office, based in LuleĂ„. The Swedish Police Authority is the largest government agency in Sweden, with approximately 40,000 employees nationwide. The North Police Region has over 2,000 employees and consists of four police areas: JĂ€mtland, Norrbotten, VĂ€sterbotten, and VĂ€sternorrland, which are collectively divided into 12 local police areas.
Each police area has an office that supports the area police chief and the four local police areas, the investigation section, the dog unit, and the intervention group. The office's tasks include preparing issues from national and regional levels, compiling information from across the police area, and preparing decision-making materials. The office serves as a cohesive function within the police area.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
As a planner at the PO Norrbotten Office, you will work in a versatile capacity, handling and preparing matters that come to the Police Office from NOA, the regional office, or other units within the police operations. You will participate in management meetings and should also be able to lead these meetings when necessary. In this role, you will also work in a coordinating capacity, collaborating with external stakeholders and authorities, and representing the police area on various issues. As a planner, you should also be able to participate in special events. The work as a planner also includes:
- Managing referrals, correspondence, and preparation materials
- Overall responsibility for various development assignments
- Being project manager when applicable
- Handling risk assessments when applicable
- Operational follow-up
- Training and strategic competence supply
- Self-assessments
- Local and investment issues
**QUALIFICATIONS**
This is an opportunity for you who:
- Are a police officer according to the Ordinance (2014:1105) on training for police officers or have another academic degree, or other education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Have work experience in administration, planning, or case management that the employer considers relevant for the position
- Have good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Have good knowledge of the Office suite
It is advantageous if you also:
- Have work experience in handling and preparing cases that the employer deems relevant for the position
- Have experience working broadly with various types of cases that the employer considers relevant for the position
- Have work experience within a government agency and/or public sector
- Have work experience in project management or similar
- Are a police officer according to the Ordinance (2014:1105) on training for police officers or have an academic degree in law or political science, or similar education that the employer deems relevant for the position.
**PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**
As a person, you are service-oriented and have a flexible approach with the ability to adapt. You are structured, can prioritize, and possess good planning skills as you manage multiple cases simultaneously. Furthermore, you are responsible, able to work independently, take initiative, and drive your work forward. At the same time, you can collaborate with others and possess good communication skills as you have many points of contact, both internally and externally. Being analytical and solution-oriented is highly valued.
