Healthcare and Care in Norrtälje (KSON) is a unique collaboration between Norrtälje Municipality and Region Stockholm. The mission is to meet the healthcare and care needs of the residents. KSON thus has unique conditions to seamlessly provide residents with effective comprehensive solutions and is governed by a board consisting of elected representatives from Region Stockholm and Norrtälje Municipality.

The Authority Department consists of approximately 75 employees, one department head, and five unit managers. The department primarily works with regulatory activities supported by the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). It is also responsible for processing applications for travel and national transport services, as well as implementing contact person and support family initiatives. The department includes LSS caseworkers, social psychiatry caseworkers, assistance caseworkers, transport service caseworkers, housing coordinators, contact secretaries, fee caseworkers, and family support workers. The vision of the municipal federation is that the residents of Norrtälje Municipality enjoy good health. The assignment
We are looking for an LSS caseworker for the LSS unit, which currently consists of 14 caseworkers, one senior LSS caseworker, and one unit manager. Within the LSS unit, we work with regulatory activities focusing on processing cases under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). There is a clear mandate within the department to develop case processing, working methods, collaboration, and innovation, as well as digital solutions as part of this. Challenges and opportunities
The position of LSS caseworker involves case processing and regulatory activities according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Social Services Act. Your main tasks will be to investigate, decide, and follow up on approved initiatives. As an LSS caseworker, you will process applications for both children and adults. The work is based on a holistic perspective regarding the individual, with their needs at the center, which occurs in collaboration with relatives, healthcare, other authorities, and partners. We have regular case discussions in groups and external process guidance. In addition to regular tasks, employees participate in various development projects to advance the operations.
What you need to bring
To succeed in this enjoyable and challenging work, it is a requirement that you have a degree in social work or a degree from a social care program.
The position of LSS caseworker requires you to be service-oriented, flexible, and meticulous. It is important that you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks, as well as being able to structure, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good collaboration skills and enjoy working with other professions, always keeping the individual in focus. We work according to IBIC (Individual Needs Center) as an investigation methodology and place great emphasis on legal certainty.
Experience working with the target group within LSS and experience in regulatory activities or other investigative work is advantageous. You need to have strong communication skills as you will have many contacts with clients, relatives, representatives, and other professionals. Since documentation and record-keeping are significant parts of the work, you also need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As the external environment is constantly changing, you also need to be flexible, proactive, and view challenges as enjoyable problems to solve.
