About this role

Department J6 Central Military Region (MR M) You will belong to the J6 function responsible for communications, IT, signal protection, and command support systems, which is now growing and seeking more employees. Within the Armed Forces in general and within the J6 function in particular, we work in a developing environment characterized by ambition, technical expertise, and opportunities for personal development. Although the Armed Forces primarily work with proven technology, a comprehensive modernization and introduction of new systems is currently underway, which creates an increased need for personnel within the J6 function. We are therefore seeking two administrators, one focused on signal protection and one on IT. Main Work Tasks Tasks as an administrator in IT and signal protection within the J6 function will be performed both independently and in groups. Within the framework, you will be offered continuous operational and system-specific further training on the job. Your main work tasks: • Perform operations and maintenance on clients and networks in the Armed Forces' IT environments • Participate in IT and communication projects within the Armed Forces • Deliver and install hardware • Prepare computers, install programs, and maintain • Handle signal protection • Documentation REQUIREMENTS Qualifications • Complete high school education with IT orientation, or other education/experience that the employer can assess as equivalent • Driver's license class B (manual) at minimum • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English Personal Characteristics Work at the department is characterized by collegiality, expertise, lack of prestige, and task enjoyment. MERITING • Previous experience in user support • College or university education in IT • Knowledge of the Armed Forces' IT systems • Computer troubleshooting • Knowledge of hardware and peripherals • Good knowledge of Windows • Administrative management of hardware • Completed military basic training/combatant training Other Details Employment Type: Permanent position, with a six-month probationary period for those not already employed by the agency. The position involves wartime placement. Employment Scope: Full-time Work Location: Kungsängen. The position involves business travel and training at other locations, and participation in exercise activities may involve absence and work during times other than regular working hours.
