About this role

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating, and adding to our workforce. Our primary goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand facilities, and client transport. The operational area (VO) Tygelsjö/Ringsjön consists of the Tygelsjö prison with 137 places for men and the Ringsjön prison with 82 places for women, both classified as security class 3. These facilities are managed by a prison director along with seven correctional officers. Both prisons conduct extensive VSP (rehabilitation programs) and investigative work, while also providing valuable employment opportunities such as a horticultural business, carpentry with pallet production, mechanical workshops, assembly/packaging, kitchen and cooking, learning centers, and other structured activities.
