Public Transport Unit The Public Transport Unit in Region Gotland belongs to the Technical Administration and the Park and Traffic Department. We are a unified unit for public and special transportation, including school transportation. We are now seeking an administrator for special transportation (special needs transport, medical travel, and parking permits). You will be part of a work group of approximately 10 people working on tasks such as traffic planning, infrastructure, processing and planning of school transportation, and communication. Your Work Tasks Are you interested in a comprehensive administrative position involving official decision-making while also working on other tasks related to publicly funded travel? The administrative role includes official decision-making within the legal frameworks of special needs transport, long-distance special needs transport, medical travel, and parking permits for people with mobility impairments. You will investigate applications and make decisions according to laws and regulations. The work involves not only official decision-making but also handling various other tasks within special transportation (special needs transport, medical travel, and parking permits). You will also work on developing the processing workflow. You will communicate with applicants and their relatives, primarily through letters and/or telephone. We also collaborate closely with other units within the administration and other operations in Region Gotland, which requires clear and high-quality communication. Who Are You? We are seeking someone with at least post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the position. It is meritorious if you have knowledge and/or experience in: - Assessing medical certificates - Experience with legal frameworks such as special needs transport law, municipal law, public access and secrecy act, and administrative law You have experience with official decision-making, case management, and administration. You have an excellent ability to absorb information and communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You are accustomed to working with various digital systems. It is positive if you have experience writing supporting documents for courts. You enjoy varied tasks, are quick and structured while ensuring legal certainty and high quality. You remain calm under pressure. You have personal maturity, good self-awareness, are flexible, open, positive, curious, and contribute to a good collaborative environment.
