Social Insurance Unit, Ministry of Social Affairs Are you an academic with experience in administrative tasks within the pension area? We are now seeking you who have some years of experience working with pension issues and want to work in a dynamic, politically governed organization, right at the center of events. Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow. The Social Insurance Unit's areas of responsibility include family policy, sickness insurance, pensions, and international social insurance issues. Additionally, the unit is responsible for managing agencies such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and the Pension Agency, as well as work against incorrect payments and social insurance fraud. For this position, the main focus will be on pension-related issues generally, but primarily issues relating to income-based pensions and basic protection. There may also be opportunities to work with other issues within the unit's area of responsibility. Work tasks are varied and include writing legislative proposals and government bills, developing committee directives and government assignments, managing parliamentary questions and interpellations, compiling referral responses, and analyzing and preparing documentation for government decisions within the unit's areas of responsibility. Read more about our operations at www.government.se. Your Background We are seeking candidates with an academic degree in political science, law, or economics, or another education we deem relevant. You have one to two years of administrative or investigative experience within the pension area that the employer considers relevant. Furthermore, you have knowledge of Swedish public administration and social insurance, its regulations, benefits, and administration. It is meritorious if you have experience with general pension administration and understanding of the pension system's regulations. Experience working in the Government Offices and knowledge of social insurance from an international perspective is also advantageous. The position requires very good skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Your Characteristics The Government Offices' employee criteria are wholeness, development, and results.
