We are looking for someone with a master's degree in health economics or equivalent and at least five years of experience working with health economic analyses and evaluations. As a health economist in the field of public health, you will: • Conduct health economic analyses and develop health economic models. • Write and review reports and analyses within health economics. • Contribute to development work on the application of health economic methods. • Participate in unit administration and meetings. As a health economist, you may also have other tasks as an investigator at the agency. Who are we looking for? Requirements for the position: • A master's degree focused on health economics or another relevant education for the position. • At least five years of experience performing health economic analyses and evaluations. In addition, we consider these competencies, abilities, and experiences essential for you to thrive with us: Great emphasis is placed on: • Personal qualities such as excellent collaboration skills, a sense of responsibility, and strong communication abilities. You are comfortable making independent decisions within given frameworks. • Very good knowledge of health economic and/or social economic analyses and methods. • A good understanding of the structure of the Swedish healthcare system and knowledge of relevant data registers. • Experience writing reports and presenting results both in writing and verbally. • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Considerable emphasis is placed on: • Good knowledge of public health and public health work. • Knowledge in the area of mental health. • Experience working at a Swedish authority within the healthcare sector. • Strong skills in statistics/econometrics. • Experience in independent programming in R. Emphasis is placed on: • Experience leading projects. What does the unit do? The unit is an analytical team that works closely with data for analyses and forecasts towards more effective public health work. The head of the Analysis Unit is also the agency's chief analyst. This position is a permanent full-time employment that starts with a six-month probationary period. Start date will be as soon as possible according to agreement. As an employee at the Public Health Agency, you may be assigned to wartime service. Certain positions are security-classified, where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement. Security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
