Job Description
As the Contract Manager Healthcare Strategy Manager in the procurement unit, you will work at a strategic level to achieve the goals set by politicians (regionally and nationally) and regional management.
The procurement unit is responsible for the Healthcare Board's orders and follow-ups concerning healthcare. We have contractual responsibility for politicians’ requests for in-house care, contracts with procured care, established care providers, and all healthcare choices. We work with the development and revision of agreements, follow-ups, and maintain ongoing contact with both region-operated and private healthcare services. As a Contract Manager, you will have significant responsibility for assignments you lead independently or in collaboration with colleagues. Healthcare strategists are also involved in various investigations within the healthcare sector, initiated by politics and regional management.
Work Group
The procurement unit for health, medical, and dental care is organized within the Health and Medical Services area at the regional management office. The functional head director of this unit is the Director of Health and Medical Services. The unit consists of a group of specialists with diverse backgrounds and competencies, including contract managers, medical advisors, dental care strategists, and assessment dentists.
About You
We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree from a college or university. It is an advantage if you have experience with investigations, development issues, procurements, and contractual matters, as well as a good understanding of the governance and management of healthcare at both local and/or national levels. Experience in strategic work within other authorities is also an asset.
