At the Neuro-Head-Neck Center (NHHC), approximately 650 employees investigate, treat, and rehabilitate diseases and injuries of the nervous system, brain, ears, nose, throat, and jaw. The center is a regional clinic providing highly specialized care for patients from the entire northern healthcare region. Research, education, and development are also conducted here. Our facility is accredited according to CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation).
The Hearing Center is part of NHHC with clinics in Umeå, Skellefteå, and Lycksele. We are a regional clinic aimed at optimizing resources across the entire county. Hearing Centers perform diagnostic measurements and fitting of hearing aids and hearing implants. Technical Hearing Care provides technical support for hearing aid users and hearing assistive devices for home and school.
We are now seeking a colleague for a temporary position at the Hearing Center in Umeå who wants to join our Technical Hearing Care team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a hearing technician, you will provide important service and enable interventions that impact many.
You will work independently installing/repairing hearing technical equipment in homes. The work also involves technical support for patients, audiologists, and healthcare staff, as well as assisting patients/clients during appointments at the Hearing Center workshop.
The position requires independent work planning and patient contact.
QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer candidates with high school competence in natural science/technical electronics or equivalent education/experience. A technical high school engineering degree is advantageous.
The role requires a high service orientation and ability to adapt to operational needs. It is important to prioritize tasks and collaborate easily with others. Good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing are required. We expect excellent interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other collaborating parties.
We will place significant emphasis on personal qualities such as patient engagement, collaboration skills, and the ability to plan and work independently.
This is a 6-month temporary position, with potential for extension.
