**JOB DESCRIPTION**
In the role of Sustainability Strategist, you will represent the municipality in environmental strategic matters while also holding a broad perspective and an overarching strategic role in the municipality's sustainability efforts. You will coordinate, advise, and drive work within ecological sustainability based on the Swedish environmental goals and Agenda 2030, grounded in the municipality's environmental and energy plan. You will also be responsible for the municipality's sustainability strategy with the long-term goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2045.
The work involves a comprehensive perspective on sustainability, integrating collaboration and synergies towards social and economic sustainability. It includes the implementation of sustainability initiatives within the organization.
In your role, you will closely interact with case officers, managers, and elected officials in the municipality. The work is varied, outward-facing, and involves many internal and external contacts.
The position is 50% permanent with the possibility of a higher working percentage during 2027.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
We are looking for someone who has:
• A higher education degree in environmental and health protection, environmental science, or another qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
• Good IT skills and experience with the Office suite.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience working in a politically governed organization or public administration.
