About the Assignment
We are seeking an experienced Sustainability Coordinator for a major investment project in public transport infrastructure. The assignment involves driving and coordinating sustainability efforts during the project's production phase, with a focus on environment, energy, noise, accessibility, and social sustainability.
You will work closely with the project management and function as a central resource to ensure that the project meets applicable requirements and goals in the environmental and sustainability areas. The role also involves support in procurement, authority contacts, and follow-up of contractors' sustainability work.
Examples of Work Tasks
• Follow up and ensure compliance with guidelines for environment, energy, social sustainability, and accessibility.
• Identify needs for project-specific procedures, templates, and tools for sustainability work.
• Establish and update plans for sustainability, social sustainability, and environment.
• Review project documentation and ensure that sustainability aspects are integrated throughout the project chain.
• Be the requirement setter in contract procurements and contribute to bid evaluations.
• Participate in meetings with contractors, project organization, and authorities.
• Coordinate sustainability reporting and follow up work in both planning and production phases.
Work will be conducted both at the project office and in the field as needed.
Qualifications – Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:
• At least 3 years of college or university education in environment, sustainability, or urban planning.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a client organization within public transport or infrastructure.
• At least 3 years of experience as an environmental or sustainability coordinator (within the last 5 years).
• Experience from tram or railway projects with a project budget of at least 400 MSEK.
• At least 3 years of experience as an expert in environmental issues during procurement of contracts or framework agreements.
• Experience coordinating water activity permits, including consultation, application, and control programs.
• At least 8 years of experience with authority contacts and permit issues according to the Environmental Code.
• At least 3 years of environmental work experience in design-build (AB04) and turnkey contracts (ABT06).
Meritorious Experience
• At least 4 years of experience with Environmental Code supervision.
• Experience with construction product documentation and follow-up via systems like Byggvarubedömningen.
• Experience from implementation phase in rail depot projects for at least one consecutive year.
Equipment and Workplace
• Personal mobile phone, protective clothing (class 3), and ID06 are required.
• Computer and workspace will be provided by the client.
• Work will primarily be at the project office in Sickla, with the possibility of remote work by agreement.
Start and Duration
• Start: December 1, 2025
• End: December 31, 2026
• Extension possibility: Up to 5 years (1+1+1+1+1)
