Hushagsgymnasiet is a high school offering six different vocational programs: the Electrical and Energy Program, the Vehicle and Transport Program, the Industrial Program, the Construction and Civil Engineering Program, the Restaurant and Food Program, and the HVAC and Property Program. Together with the team, you will organize and drive the training to further develop the program. The role includes teaching, mentorship, and teamwork. QUALIFICATIONS Primarily, we seek a licensed vocational teacher in welding. Alternatively, we welcome candidates with relevant professional skills in the industry/welding. You possess solid knowledge of work environment and safety, along with good industry contacts. Excellent oral and written skills in Swedish and a valid driver's license (category B) are requirements. Certifications such as IWS and welding examiner certifications in MIG/MAG and MMA are advantageous. Strong collaborative skills are essential to work collectively with other teachers to achieve shared program goals. Good leadership abilities are important in relation to students. The ability to develop contacts with mentors in the business community is a crucial part of enhancing the program’s work with workplace-based learning (APL). You should be able to support all students and meet them according to their individual needs. Experience working with people and creating good relationships for easy and smooth collaboration is necessary. Insight into pedagogical practices and an understanding of how young individuals absorb knowledge, along with an awareness of various learning situations, are essential.
