With approximately 1,200 students, Lerum High School is an attractive and popular school with a strong value foundation focusing on safety, attendance, and challenges. The school is characterized by breadth and excellence. We offer nine national programs, a special needs program, and an introductory program, divided into five school units, each led by a principal. The school also has an administrative manager and an operations manager for coordination. Teachers are organized into teams around the students in the various programs. The high school is located in a fantastic environment, with a green park area right next to Säveån, just a few minutes' walk from Lerum's center and train station. JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a teacher in technology and construction who wants to teach in the technology program. The role includes mentorship. You will be part of a team in the Technology Program. Your responsibilities also include actively contributing to the school's development alongside competent colleagues. The Technology Program is a certified Technology College. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for candidates who have subject competence and certification in technology and construction at the upper secondary level. Experience and knowledge in CAD is an advantage. It is important that you are a pronounced team player who works with your colleagues in the team to help students reach their full potential in their knowledge and personal development. You teach subjects and courses, but your practice is permeated by the curriculum's values and the program's graduation goals. Your mentorship is characterized by a strong commitment to the whole person, and you understand the value of active mentorship in your interactions with students and guardians. We place particular emphasis on your didactic competence and ability to meet students with diverse needs and challenges in their learning. You see collaboration with other teachers and resource personnel (school librarian, career counselor, student health staff) as a given and a prerequisite for success in Swedish schools. You are committed to your own learning and development alongside others. We also value flexibility and a solution-focused approach, as well as your ability to collaborate and communicate with students, colleagues, school management, and other staff.
