High School Music Teacher - Temporary Position

We are seeking an engaged high school music teacher for a term position in the Esthetic Program, music orientation, at Anderstorpsgymnasiet. Here, you will ignite musical curiosity, inspire, and prepare students for life after high school – and your contribution makes a difference every day. At our school, we work together for the benefit of the students, both for them and for each other. YOUR ROLE As a high school music teacher, you will primarily teach piano and singing. A significant portion of the instruction takes place individually, where you meet students one-on-one. You will plan and conduct lessons according to the applicable curricula and create learning situations where students can develop both musically and personally. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in the school’s artistic activities and contribute to maintaining a structured, creative, and safe learning environment for the students. The position is for one term at 75% starting in January. YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE We are looking for someone with relevant education or experience in music and teaching, preferably with a strong ability to teach both piano and singing. It is an advantage if you have a teaching certification, but it is not a requirement for the position. You communicate clearly, are confident in your interactions with students, and can easily adapt your teaching to meet individual needs. Through your engagement and pedagogical skills, you motivate students to develop and challenge themselves in their musical endeavors. YOUR NEW WORKPLACE Anderstorpsgymnasiet is located in central Skellefteå and is one of the municipality's largest high schools, with approximately 1,000 students and 150 staff members.
