Within the Children and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet around 14,000 children and students daily at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality. Every child and student in Sundsvall's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own conditions. Each student should be able to leave school with motivation, knowledge, and good prerequisites to meet adult life and the future.
We are seeking an English teacher for Hedbergska School. Hedbergska is centrally located in Sundsvall and offers both college-preparatory and vocational programs. We have approximately 1,200 students and work in program teams with a focus on each individual student.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your tasks will include:
• Teaching English in Social Science, Economics, Sales and Service, and Restaurant and Food Programs
• Shared mentorship for a group of second-year Social Science Program students, which includes responsibility for following and supporting students' social and academic development
• Collaboration with teachers and other school staff
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking a qualified and licensed high school English teacher.
You are positive, engaged, and passionate about student development, both academically and as individuals. You have the ability to motivate students and conduct stimulating and varied instruction. You see opportunities, take initiative, and have a solution-focused approach. You are confident in your role and can work independently while also enjoying collaboration with colleagues.
