We are now looking for a Conference Hostess who understands that every unforgettable hotel stay begins with a fantastic first impression that resonates through every guest interaction.
As part of our Guest Service team, primarily working in conferences and reception, you will be the heart of the entire guest experience — ensuring that every detail is seamless, from check-in to check-out, and creating a hotel environment that feels both personal and first-class. You bring energy, charm, and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every guest feels valued and inspired every minute they spend with us.
The Meeting & Event Host is responsible for the entire guest experience during the conference.
The role includes:
• Welcoming guests and providing necessary information about emergency procedures, restrooms, meals, and other details relevant to the event.
• Managing the flow of participants during the conference, ensuring smooth transitions between programs and breaks.
• Ensuring the preparation of conference rooms, including furniture, refreshments, technology, and equipment, as well as conducting inspections.
• Being responsible for keeping all venues and conference areas clean and tidy. Every event is unique.
• Assisting with technical support and troubleshooting.
• Monitoring participant satisfaction and promptly addressing any issues or complaints.
• The Meeting & Event Host is expected to have good knowledge of conference procedures to best meet our guests' needs.
• The Meeting & Event Host is expected to have good technical knowledge of all venues regarding sound, light, and image.
• The Meeting & Event Host is expected to be present during breaks; fulfilling various requests from guests, keeping areas clean, and replacing tables and chairs.
• Planning and managing your tasks independently, including shift work and weekend work as needed.
• Ensuring that all items on the shift checklist are completed and recorded.
• Staying informed about ongoing events, contributing to the development of the department, and actively working on upselling.
• Closely collaborating with project managers and assisting with coordination.
• Checking and issuing invoices for smaller conferences in consultation with the responsible person.
• Preparing and managing daily planning (PM) and handling changes as they arise.
• Embodying Clarion's customer promise of style, quality, and energy in every guest interaction, consistently delivering high-quality, personalized customer service.
• Collaborating with colleagues across different departments to create a seamless, high-quality guest experience.
The Meeting & Event Host will constitute the majority of the role, but you will also work in our other departments within guest service such as reception and housekeeping.
All employees are responsible for:
• Being updated and knowledgeable about the hotel's fire and safety procedures.
• Actively participating in department meetings.
• Actively using the hotel's feedback system, Loopon. No prior knowledge of the system is required.
• Adhering to the company's policies, such as the dress code.
• Maintaining a positive work environment where everyone supports each other.
• Treating our guests and colleagues with respect.
• Performing other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
