Owned by municipalities – driven by commitment! For over 20 years, Gryning has provided residential care (HVB) and outpatient services for children, adolescents, and families, emergency and foster homes, addiction treatment, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We offer counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal associations.
The Heder & Skydd unit offers, on behalf of the social services, to investigate and assess protection needs and provide protection and care for individuals who require placement due to an external threat. Our primary target group is adolescents aged 14-18 who are exposed to or at risk of honor-related violence and oppression. These youths are placed in our protected residential care. We also have the capacity to offer protection to adults in our apartments throughout Skaraborg, where the reasons for the need for protection can vary, ranging from honor-related issues to domestic violence or connections to gang crime or other types of crime.
We are now seeking a new employee for a permanent position at our protected residential care. You will be one of four treatment pedagogues working shifts with sleeping on-call duty at the facility. You will always work alongside another colleague to support our protected youths during the evening and night. The position is 50%. Working hours are primarily scheduled between 7:30 PM and 8:30 AM, with sleeping on-call duty from midnight to 8 AM. You will work on a two-week schedule with two shifts every other week and five shifts every other week.
This position can often be combined with studies or another part-time job. Thanks to additional compensation, the position offers a competitive salary that may allow you to manage without further employment.

JOB DESCRIPTION
What does the position entail?
We work from a milieu therapeutic approach. As a treatment pedagogue on sleeping on-call duty, your responsibilities include care and supervision of the youths. During the evening and night, the focus is on maintaining safety, calm, and security. As a night assistant, you will need to document in our documentation system. Acute situations may arise that you need to handle, such as deviations, medical visits, and a risk assessment must be made based on the protection of the youth. You should be a reliable adult who can be available at night if the youth is, for example, anxious or upset.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education, or an equivalent qualification, focused on social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science.
Experience working in residential care (HVB) is an advantage. We expect you to be interested in other cultures, honor, and protection. We seek someone who is stable and secure and has the ability to create calm and safety. You are responsible, possess personal maturity, and have good self-awareness. Since the job may involve travel, a valid driver's license (B) is required.
