Owned by municipalities – driven by commitment! For over 20 years, Gryning has provided residential care and outpatient services for children, youth, and families, emergency and foster homes, addiction treatment, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We offer counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal associations.
Hagen Treatment Center is located in Kullavik, 20 kilometers south of Gothenburg, and has two treatment departments: Överhuset (7 places for youth aged 14-18) and Nederhuset (6 places for children/youth aged 9-14) operating around the clock.
We are now seeking a treatment educator for Nederhuset for a temporary position from January 22, 2026, to April 1, 2027.
JOB DESCRIPTION
What does the position entail?
As a treatment educator, you will have an environmental therapeutic role in the daily routines of everyday life. Supporting the children in their daily routines is an essential part of the job.
You will participate in treatment planning and perform qualified treatment work under supervision. You will document, maintain contact with clients, guardians, schools, and other important individuals in the young person's network.
Working hours are scheduled, including evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education, or an equivalent qualification, focused on social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Experience working with children and youth in vulnerable life situations, as well as a good understanding of relevant legislation, is advantageous. We seek someone who can work independently and as part of a team and enjoys a job where no two days are the same. To be comfortable in this role, we believe you are solution-focused and self-assured. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and a driver's license is required as travel is part of the job.
