Owned by Municipalities – Driven by Commitment! For over 20 years, Gryning has offered residential care, open care, and support services for children, youth, and families, including emergency and foster homes, addiction care, supported housing, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, and LSS housing. We provide counseling and training and help with placements. Gryning is owned by municipalities in Västra Götaland via four municipal associations.
At Kristinedal in Fengersfors, we work with children and families in need of treatment or assessment interventions on behalf of Social Services. Children placed at Kristinedal have various forms of psychosocial issues such as attachment disorders, interaction difficulties, and traumas. Different types of neuropsychiatric diagnoses are also common. The goal of our operations is to create conditions for children and families to develop according to their own prerequisites.
We are now seeking a Treatment Pedagogue for a permanent full-time position. We operate 24/7, which means you will work on a schedule with irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. A probationary period may be applicable.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
What does the position entail?
Supporting our clients in their daily routines, relationships, and development. You will lead group and individual leisure activities.
Creating safety, security, and stability while working closely with your colleagues.
Conducting behavioral observations and documentation. We work in close collaboration with social services and networks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
We are seeking someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education, or equivalent, focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant field of study. Work experience, preferably in care and social work, is desirable.
You are psychologically robust and a role model with the ability to create credible and stable relationships.
It is important that you are calm, secure, and receptive. As cooperation is a crucial building block for the unit's ability to create sustainable results, it is essential that you recognize the value of constructive and open communication.
A B driver's license is required as the work involves travel.
