Owned by municipalities – driven by commitment! For over 20 years, Gryning has offered residential care and outpatient services for children, youth, and families, emergency and foster homes, addiction treatment, supported apartments, interventions against honor-related violence and oppression, as well as LSS housing. We provide counseling and training and assist with placements. Gryning is owned by the municipalities in Västra Götaland through four municipal associations.
Family Center Fyrbodal welcomes families with children, unaccompanied children aged 0-12 years, and expectant mothers. We conduct assessments, treatment assignments, and surveys based on needs and wishes. Our goals are to provide parents with an alternative relationship pattern and to give children care, structure, and security that are fundamental to their future development.
Family Center Fyrbodal is currently in an expansion phase and is now increasing its operations to meet the demand for placements. Therefore, we are seeking a treatment educator for awake night & on-call shifts, a permanent position at 65% with start date as agreed. A probationary period may apply.
JOB DESCRIPTION
What does the position entail?
As a treatment educator for awake night/on-call at FC Fyrbodal, you will work both awake nights and sleeping on-call according to a schedule. During awake nights, you will be active throughout the shift, handling routine tasks as well as unforeseen situations where children or families need support and assistance. During sleeping on-call, you will be on standby and can be awakened to support the awake night staff if needed. Regardless of your role, you contribute to creating safety, calm, and security for children and families.
QUALIFICATIONS
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with at least a two-year post-secondary education, or an equivalent qualification, focused on social work, social pedagogy, or behavioral science. Previous professional experience and knowledge of working with unaccompanied children are advantageous. We seek individuals who have the ability to create calm and security and to engage with people coming from difficult life circumstances. You are responsible, personally mature, and possess good self-awareness. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. As travel may be part of the job, a driver's license is required.
