The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care (SiS) is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also implements secure care for youth. We provide this care in youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog accommodates non-compulsory school-age girls with psychosocial issues, substance abuse, and self-harm problems. The institution is tasked with providing care for girls with special care needs. **Job Description** Are you motivated by helping young people/clients in vulnerable life situations? Do you also enjoy organizing, leading, and planning? Apply for the position of Group Leader at SiS! As a Group Leader, you contribute to a safe and secure environment for both placed children and youth/clients as well as employees. In this role, you actively engage in the operational care and treatment work on the department. You are responsible for planning, operationally leading, and distributing the daily work. You act as a role model and promote that the work is conducted in a legally secure manner and in accordance with applicable governing documents, methods, and set goals. You continuously keep the unit manager on your department updated on issues that may affect the work environment, care, and treatment environment, or deficiencies in the operations. Introduction and supervision of new employees are also part of your responsibilities. You will be part of a team with a unit manager and treatment secretary, and you will collaborate closely to achieve good results together. **Qualifications** To thrive and succeed in the role of Group Leader, you are motivated to work with and help people in vulnerable life situations. The operational work and interaction with young people/clients are your primary focus. You are skilled at planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively and communicate clearly with others. At the same time, you are attentive and affirming in your interactions with young people/clients and colleagues, and you excel at building relationships. You maintain a professional approach and have a strong ability to collaborate and understand others' perspectives. The work can sometimes be challenging and requires you to be stable and remain calm even in stressful situations. Personal suitability will be given significant weight. You should also have: - A relevant higher education degree focused on social sciences, health care, or behavioral sciences, or other education combined with work experience that SiS considers equivalent. - Several years of documented work experience in SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and safety, such as social services, health care and treatment, correctional services, or other relevant fields. - A good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both written and spoken. - A valid driver's license (B) and access to a car.
