The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and are now seeking more employees. Our main goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the cycle of crime. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, detention centers, and client transport.
The HR department is a national division at the headquarters of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service tasked with ensuring that the organization has favorable conditions to further develop its ability to achieve its goals by being an attractive employer, workplace, education provider, and partner that makes a difference in society. The HR department is undergoing an exciting development and transformation journey, with our HR staff working with a focus on goals and results, centering on people and operations. The HR department consists of four units and has approximately 400 employees, distributed across units for education, planning, and employer development, operational HR support, as well as leadership and employee engagement.
The Education Unit is responsible for working strategically and long-term with educational supply and skills development for the entire authority, and in close cooperation with operations, planning, developing, administrating, executing, following up, and ensuring the quality of the training programs.
The Education Unit consists of six sections, including one responsible for planning and follow-up and another for admissions and training production, as well as four sections primarily tasked with implementing the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's common training programs for employees and managers. The Education Unit currently has training and practice facilities at six locations across the country: Gothenburg, Härnösand, Malmö, Norrköping, Stockholm, and Örebro.
We are now seeking a group manager for the newly formed section Education Area 2, located in Malmö. You will lead the operational work within the section for your group in collaboration with group managers at another location.
The section's task is to prepare, resource plan, implement, follow up, and contribute to the development of educational activities, methods for training, and content for the programs under the section's responsibility.
Additionally, the role includes administration, scheduling, pedagogical leadership, and responsibility for the Education Unit's premises in Malmö. The section will, in consultation with the other sections, ensure that facilities are made available to the extent necessary to address the overall mission.
As a group manager, you will be part of the section’s management team, responsible for overseeing, planning, and supporting the operational work of the group. You have responsibility for local matters, budgeting, and personnel and report directly to the section manager.
