The geographical area spans two municipalities – from the bustling city center to the quieter Lidingö. LPO Södermalm The Local Police Area Södermalm is part of the Stockholm City Police Area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and service. JOB DESCRIPTION The role of Group Manager for Support/Service As the manager for Support/Service, you will report to the LPO Chief and be part of the local police area's management team, where you will collectively be responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and for driving the authority's change and development work. In your role, you will have personnel and work environment responsibilities for your group, and you will have a special responsibility for the passport and service office's assignments. You will be responsible for results and operational development. As a group manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations. Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating safety and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and attentive leadership with confidence in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that is based on our adherence to the law and equal treatment of individuals. You create conditions and work towards good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the mission as a whole. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you who have: • At least 6 months of continuous experience working as a team leader, project manager, or similar • Experience participating in change and development work • Experience in the relevant operational area, such as crime prevention work, administrative assignments, external service, or police service • A police degree in accordance with the Police Ordinance (2014:1104) or other relevant post-secondary education or equivalent acquired work experience We consider it an advantage if you also have: • Experience leading others towards set goals and results • Experience participating in management forums • Experience with police organization operations • Management and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels • Experience participating in/driving collaboration with community actors outside the police organization/your own organization • Experience in crime prevention work • Experience in service-oriented operations When hiring, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and leadership abilities.
