There are four police areas within the region: North, City, South, and Gotland. Finally, there is also an office that reports directly to the Regional Police Chief. The Stockholm North police area encompasses 14 municipalities and the western parts of Stockholm city. The population in the police area is nearly 900,000, distributed across urban areas, the archipelago, and rural settlements. The police area consists of seven local police districts and five sections, along with a police area office. The Local Police District of Southern Roslagen is responsible for police operations in the five municipalities of Vaxholm, Täby, Danderyd, Vallentuna, and Österåker, with approximately 200,000 residents spread across urban areas, the archipelago, and rural regions. Within the local police district, about 160 employees work organized into eight local police groups, two area police groups, four investigation groups, one passport service group, one office group, and one group for operational management. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** As the head of the passport unit, you will report to the LPO Chief and be part of the LPO management team, where you will jointly be responsible for ensuring that assignments are carried out and for driving the agency's change and development work. You will have specific responsibility for the group's operations in the area of passports and its results. As a group leader, you will represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations. Being a leader within the Police Authority means creating safety and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and attentive leadership with confidence in others' skills and abilities. As a leader, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a manner that is based on our adherence to the law and equal treatment of individuals. You create conditions and work towards good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the mission as a whole. **QUALIFICATIONS** This is an opportunity for you who have: • At least 6 months of continuous experience working as a team leader, project manager, or similar role • A police degree or other relevant post-secondary education or equivalent acquired experience for the function • Experience participating in change and development work • Experience working in the police reception and/or passport services We consider it an advantage if you also have: • Experience leading others towards set goals and results • Participation in management forums • Experience in the police organization's operations • Leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels • Experience participating in/driving collaboration with community stakeholders outside your own organization When hiring, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and leadership abilities.
