About the Workplace Are you ready for a significant task? The Police Authority is now seeking someone who wants to lead the work of the IT Department's management and unit support. The group consists of 9 people working in roles such as management support, unit support/administrators, and local coordinators. The group is part of the department's office that creates prerequisites for the department during an exciting time with a focus on development. Currently, there is also the opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week. The IT Department's primary task is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT Department is a crucial part of crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining police operations and improving the quality of police work. The IT Department develops and modernizes police IT, and the authority is investing heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in police operations. Job Responsibilities As a Group Manager, you will lead the work of the Operational Support group, responsible for working within and developing methods in the following areas: • Administrative support for management and leaders • Local coordination • Processes within the employee journey, such as coordination of HR processes and on/off-boarding • Internal events and team-building activities The group works closely with the department management, units, and the rest of the office, for example, in work related to the employee journey. As Group Manager for Operational Support, you will report to the Office Manager and be part of the office's management team, where you collectively are responsible for completing assignments and driving the authority's change and development work. You have specific responsibility for the group's operations and results. As Group Manager, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations. Being a manager and leader within the Police Authority means creating security and building trust by exercising sincere, courageous, and responsive leadership with trust in others' competence and ability. As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that follows the law and treats people equally. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for citizens and the mission as a whole. Qualifications: This is an opportunity for someone who has: • At least 5 years of recent experience working as a manager with personnel responsibility • Experience participating in and leading change and development work • Experience leading groups working in a service function that the employer deems relevant • Relevant academic degree in areas such as HR, Economics, Social Sciences, or similar, or work experience that the employer considers equivalent • Excellent Swedish language skills in both speech and writing • Swedish citizenship for security class 2 It is meritorious if you also have: • Experience leading others towards set goals and results • Participated in management forums • Management and leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels • Work experience from a government agency or other large organization that the employer deems relevant When hiring, we will place great importance on personal qualities and leadership abilities.
