Do you have a technical background and experience in management? Are you also interested in an operational management position? We are now seeking someone who wants to lead and develop our Communications Technology function!
We are the department within Göteborg Tramways that works on executing a range of technical services within public transportation.
We perform tasks such as operation, maintenance, and installation of vehicle-adjacent equipment for both internal and external customers. This can include service and installations on various vehicle types such as buses, boats, and trams. Areas covered include video surveillance, ticketing, radio communication, route selection, passenger counting, and other surrounding systems.
Among the important assignments from a safety perspective are also RAKEL coordination, primarily within Göteborg Tramways, and serving as a knowledge support for other municipal companies. Additionally, we ensure RAKEL equipment in our tram tunnels.
The group manager role is an operational management position where you will spend parts of your time in the field supporting your service technicians. You will lead and distribute daily work, as well as plan, coordinate, and implement assignments in dialogue with our customers. You will also be part of the unit's management group and work towards cross-unit collaboration, planning, approach, and development. You will actively participate in the unit's budget work and be responsible for invoicing and time reporting. The position includes full personnel, budget, and operational responsibility for your group, and you will report to the Section Manager for Track and Communication Technology.
You will join a great team where we support each other and help out when needed to succeed with our collective mission. We value competence development and training, and you will receive a thorough introduction from the section manager to succeed in your new role. The group currently consists of seven employees, and we are based at Rantorget in Gårda.
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience as a manager with formal personnel responsibility
- Good technical competence acquired through education or experience
- Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written
- Good English language skills, both verbal and written
- Good digital competence and knowledge of Office 365
- Swedish driver's license, at least category B
Additional merits include:
- Leadership training
- Basic electrical knowledge such as low-current electrical work and schematic reading
- Post-secondary education in technology or IT
- Experience/understanding of network construction and IT-related systems
- Experience with budget work or other financial responsibility
- Experience with maintenance systems EAM and Maximo

Our proposed salary range for the position is 48,000 - 51,000 SEK. Final salary depends on how well the set requirements for the position are met.
