Are you ready for a greater challenge? The Swedish Police Authority is the largest governmental agency in Sweden with approximately 40,000 employees across the country. The region consists of the four northernmost counties in Sweden and is organized into four police districts: Jämtland, Norrbotten, Västerbotten, and Västernorrland, which are further divided into 12 local police areas. Additionally, there are three regional units: the operational unit, intelligence unit, and investigation unit, along with a regional office and national departments that support police operations. The Norrbotten police area is divided into four local police areas: Luleå/Boden, Northern Lapland, Piteå/Älvdal, and Eastern Norrbotten. At the police area level, there is also an investigation section, an intervention group, and a dog unit. Furthermore, there is a police area office. The Piteå Älvdal local police area is part of the Norrbotten police area. Within the local police area, there are intervention and crime prevention activities, investigation teams, as well as support and service. We are now looking for a Team Leader for BF-IGV group 7 based in Piteå. **RESPONSIBILITIES** As the head of BF-IGV 7, you will report to the Local Police Area Chief and be part of the LPO Piteå Älvdal management team, where you will jointly be responsible for ensuring that assignments are completed and for driving the authority’s change and development efforts. You will have particular responsibility for the group's operations and outcomes and are expected to collaborate closely with other team leaders within BFG-IGV to collectively address needs and requirements that may arise in operational activities. As a team leader, you will represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations. Being a leader within the Police Authority means creating safety and building trust through sincere, courageous, and responsive leadership while trusting in the competence and capabilities of others. As a leader, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a manner that is grounded in legal compliance and equal treatment of individuals. You create conditions and work for good relationships that contribute to us acting together based on what is best for the citizens and the assignment as a whole. **QUALIFICATIONS** This is an opportunity for you who have: • at least six months of continuous experience working as a supervisor, project leader, or similar • experience in participating in change and development efforts • experience in the relevant area of operation • a police degree according to the Regulation (2014:1105) on police education We consider it a merit if you also have: • experience leading others towards set goals and results • participated in management forums • experience within the police organization's operations • leadership training for direct, indirect, and/or strategic levels • experience in collaborating with community stakeholders outside the police organization/your own organization • experience in operational management in a field setting • leadership experience with personnel responsibility • current experience with the regional problem picture, preferably with a particular focus on the Norrbotten police area When hiring, we will place great emphasis on personal characteristics and leadership abilities.
