About this role

Lund Waldorf School is seeking an engaged, subject-qualified, and certified teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Biology and Chemistry) for grades 7–9. We are looking for someone who wants to work based on the holistic approach of Waldorf education to learning and humanity, where teaching is shaped in accordance with students' maturity and developmental needs. The school is located in Hardeberga, just outside Lund, in a nature-rich environment and operates as a mission-driven, non-profit foundation. We have approximately 165 students in grades F–9 and around forty staff members. Waldorf education underpins our entire operation—from the curriculum to daily culture—providing space for creativity, subject deepening, and pedagogical responsibility. **Responsibilities** As a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 7–9, you will: • Teach subjects according to the aims of Lgr22 and the didactic guidelines of Waldorf education. • Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in harmony with students' levels of development. • Assess and document knowledge development in accordance with national requirements (formative and summative assessment). • Participate in interdisciplinary projects, collegial learning, and mentorship. • Actively contribute to a safe and vibrant school environment where thought, feeling, and will are given space. **Qualifications** We are looking for someone who meets several of the following qualifications: • Waldorf teacher training (or ongoing), alternatively, a strong motivation to train in Waldorf education. • State teacher qualification with authorization to teach Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the later years of primary school. • Documented subject and didactic competence through education and/or work experience. • Experience teaching at the middle school level, including administering national exams. • A lively interest in youth development and a reflective approach to learning. We place great emphasis on "the right person in the right place," focusing on pedagogical maturity, collaborative skills, and personal leadership in the classroom. **Personal qualities** We are looking for someone who: • Teaches with presence, inspiration, and structure. • Is responsible, solution-oriented, and willing to contribute to the development of the school. • Sees the school's entirety and thrives in a value-driven faculty. • Has a curious and reflective approach to both students and subject content. • Aims to contribute to a school climate characterized by respect, creativity, and pedagogical depth. **Employment Conditions** • 85% position. • Employment begins with a probationary period or a specific fixed-term contract, depending on background and experience. • Salary according to collective agreement and the school’s internal salary scale. We are below the average salary in Lund Municipality, but offer additional benefits such as: • Educational freedom and trust. • Time for subject deepening. • A meaningful, long-term learning environment with a focus on the whole person. • A satisfactory extract from the police criminal record is required upon employment. **Application** We welcome your application (CV and cover letter) as soon as possible. Selection and interviews will take place on an ongoing basis.
