Would you like to be part of our important work? We welcome your application! Bredgårdsskolan is a school for students from preschool to sixth grade located in the center of Strömsund. The school has approximately 180 students and around 34 staff members. As a teacher at Bredgårdsskolan, you will be a class teacher, and each class has a resource person who works alongside you for a significant part of the day. The students are distributed across several school buildings, and there is a leisure center in one of the buildings. At Bredgårdsskolan, we actively work with our values, which permeate the entire school’s operations, and all staff are present during recess, engaging actively with the students. RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for teachers qualified to teach in elementary school. You may hold a degree for grades F-3 or 4-6. You will be responsible for a class and carry out most of the instruction for that group. You will be part of a working team and will independently, as well as collaboratively with others, plan, implement, and evaluate the educational work. As a teacher at our school, you are expected to actively cooperate to create a sense of community where staff, students, and guardians share a common responsibility for the school's environment, well-being, and development. Collaboration with parents and teamwork with other staff members are important parts of the job. If you are a new graduate, we offer mentoring support. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking a licensed teacher with experience and qualifications to teach in elementary school. We are looking for someone who wants to work in a smaller community where safety and a sense of belonging are important and considered prerequisites for students to learn in the best possible way. You should be outgoing, responsible, and cooperative. Additionally, you should be interested in developing both yourself and the school, while being open to new ideas. You must also have the ability to take responsibility, plan, execute, and follow up on activities. You should have basic computer skills to utilize the IT tools we use in teaching.
