About this role
For Strömsund Municipality, the goal is simple – everyone should feel comfortable, have fun at work, and have the opportunity to develop and grow with their tasks. Our managers have the important mission of ensuring that we all feel involved, respected, and responsible at work.
As a municipality, we are responsible for education, care and support, community development, labor market services, culture, and service functions. The work we do makes the municipality function, which is significant for the residents – and creates meaning in our daily work.
We make a difference for people around the clock, every day of the year. Would you like to be part of our important work? We welcome your application!
Do you want to work in a school where your voice is heard, your ideas can flourish, and where you are at the center of the school’s development? Then Hedenvind School in Strömsund is the right place for you. We are currently seeking an engaged and certified teacher who wants to help shape the future together with us.
Hedenvind School is a F6 school with approximately 280 students, including an integrated special education program. We have three after-school care departments, divided by the children's age. With us, you will work in small classes alongside a resource person who is present in each class to support the teaching.
We believe in the power of collaboration and the positive change that occurs when engaged educators develop together. We actively work with value-based education that permeates the entire school’s activities both in the classroom and during breaks.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be a class teacher responsible for one class. The work involves independently and collaboratively planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work with your team. The value-based work is naturally integrated into the teaching and school day.
As a teacher at our school, you are expected to actively collaborate to create a sense of community where staff, students, and guardians feel a shared responsibility for the school’s environment, well-being, and development. Cooperation with parents and collaboration with other staff is an important part of the job.
What we offer you:
• Close and supportive leadership – as principal, I am available for dialogue, support, and pedagogical discussions.
• Collegial learning – joint planning, reflection, and development within the team.
• Space to influence – your ideas are taken seriously, and you participate in decisions that affect your daily work.
• Professional development – based on both the school’s needs and your interests.
• Time and resources to try new pedagogical methods and tools.
• Mentorship – as a new employee, you will receive support from an experienced colleague.
We want to create a workplace where learning and development never end and where you can help shape the future of education.
